Deaf/HOH means total deafness or a hearing loss so severe that a student is impaired in processing information through hearing, with or without amplification. San Diego Mesa College has a long history of providing quality support services to Deaf and Hard of Hearing students. Support services provided include: Sign Language Interpreters, Real-Time Captioners, Tutors, and Notetakers.
The following classes are taught in American Sign Language:
ESOL 20 and ESOL21
ESOL 30 and ESOL31
ESOL 40 and ESOL42
English 51 and 56
Eligibility For Services
The verification form must be signed by a physician, audiologist, or other licensed hearing professional.
