2007 Pacific Coast Conference Champions
The Olympians captured the 2007 Pacific Coast Conference Title with a 13-1-2 conference record. Currently Mesa is ranked #3 in the state and #5 in the nation. Post season awards were announced with Melanie DeSalvo, Elizabeth Diaz, Caslyn Wells, Crissy Lawson, Anastasia Nelson and Jessica Hernandez garnering 1st team all-conference honors. Crissy Lawson was also named the Goalkeeper of the Year for the Pacific Coast Conference.
Mesa Moves on to Regional Semi-Final Game (Nov 20th).
Tuesday's game pits the #3 seeded Mesa College Olympians vs. the #11 seeded Cypress College Chargers. San Diego Mesa and Cypress have met twice previously in playoff action with Cypress winning both Regional Final meetings by a score of 1-0. In Regional Quarter-Final action, San Diego Mesa defeated #14 Pasadena 3-1 while Cypress upset the #6 seed LA Pierce, 2-1. Cypress enters the game with an overall record of 18-2-3 on the year while Mesa sits at 19-1-2 for the season.
